Genie

AI software engineer that takes tickets to pull requests.

About

Genie is an AI software engineer built by Cosine that works end to end on real codebases. Assigned an issue from a tracker, it reads repo-scale context, plans the change, writes code, runs tests, and opens a pull request for review, mirroring how a human engineer picks up a ticket.

It was trained to emulate the cognitive processes of human software engineers rather than just generate snippets, and it supports 15 programming languages. The platform integrates with GitHub, Jira, Linear, and Slack, asking clarifying questions and responding to PR review comments like a colleague. Generated code lands in the user's own GitHub repo so Cosine retains no copy of customer code.

What it can do

  • Ticket-to-PR autonomous task execution
  • Repo-scale codebase understanding
