Coolify
Open-source, self-hostable Heroku/Netlify/Vercel alternative with ~62k GitHub stars.
About
Coolify is an open-source, self-hostable platform-as-a-service alternative to Heroku, Netlify, and Vercel. It manages servers, applications, and databases on your own hardware — VPS, bare metal, even Raspberry Pis — over a single SSH connection, deploying static sites, full-stack apps, Docker containers, databases, and 280+ one-click services with automatic Git deployments, reverse proxy, SSL certificates, and preview deployments.
With roughly 62,000 GitHub stars as of late 2026, it leads the open-source self-hosting wave driven by cloud repatriation, ahead of Dokploy (~35k) and CapRover (~15k). The self-hosted edition is free under Apache-2.0 — you pay only for the server underneath — and configurations live on your own infrastructure, so there is no vendor lock-in. A managed Coolify Cloud exists for teams that want the panel without running it. The tradeoff is honest: you own server security, OS updates, backups, and uptime.
