Free visual IDE for React + TypeScript — drag, drop, and style components while code stays in sync.

About

Codux is Wix's standalone visual development environment for React and TypeScript projects. It renders your app on a live stage where you can click any element to edit its properties, styles, and states through visual panels — every change writes idiomatic code back to your files in real time, whether you edit visually, in Codux's code editor, or in your usual IDE. It imports existing projects without conversion, supports CSS, Sass, CSS Modules, Stylable, and Tailwind, and includes Git integration plus one-click deployment.

The honest picture: Codux is React-and-TypeScript only, so Vue/Angular/Svelte teams are out of luck. It's a complement to your IDE rather than a replacement, and its AI story is thinner than newer agent-first tools. Development pace from Wix has been uneven since launch. But it's free, it never locks your code to a platform, and for visual React work it remains genuinely useful.
